For an in-person session in Queens, Psychobabble Therapy and Wellness at 1025 Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood is the office on this page: Lauren Urban, LCSW, CHT, a licensed clinical social worker, offers hypnotherapy there, with a 90-minute intake at $150 and 60-minute follow-ups at $100, according to the practice’s website, which we read in October 2026. The other three options reach you differently: one hypnotherapist comes to your home in Astoria or Long Island City, one Queens-named practice works online, by webcam and by phone, and one Manhattan practice is a short trip to the Upper East Side or a Zoom call away. The order below is not a ranking.

Psychobabble Therapy and Wellness

Psychobabble Therapy and Wellness is a small group therapy practice with a physical office at 1025 Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood and telehealth throughout New York State. Lauren Urban, LCSW, CHT, sees clients in person in Ridgewood or virtually and lists hypnotherapy alongside psychotherapy. The practice describes hypnotherapy as used in conjunction with regular psychotherapy, for goals such as smoking, social and performance anxiety, self-esteem and phobias, and states that it “is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric treatment or therapy.” The services page lists a 90-minute hypnotherapy intake at $150 and 60-minute follow-ups at $100, with a sliding scale on request. Lauren Urban also runs a weekly virtual group hypnosis session of about 30 minutes. Contact the practice through its website.

Self Empowered Minds

Self Empowered Minds is Saba Hocek’s practice at 420 East 81st Street, Suite 1, between First and York Avenues on the Upper East Side, and private hypnosis sessions there can also be held by Zoom. She works with goals such as habits, confidence, focus and relaxation; the first session runs 90 minutes and is listed at $343, and you can ask for a free 20-minute consultation before choosing. Hypnosis at the practice is offered as a complementary wellness service, not as licensed medical or mental-health care, with no promised result. The practice gives the 86th Street 4/5/6 station and the Q at Second Avenue as its nearest subway stops. Call (917) 658-1660.

The Door to Within

The Door to Within is the practice of Jen Shanteau, who lists graduation with honors from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in 2022 as a certified hypnotherapist and membership in the American Hypnosis Association. Her sessions combine a conversation about what you want with hypnosis, and she offers to record the hypnosis part at no extra charge. Online sessions by Google Meet or Zoom are $175 for 60 minutes. For people in Queens, the notable option is an in-home private session, $333, which she offers to women and LGBTQ+ clients in Astoria, Long Island City and parts of Manhattan. In-person office hours are Thursday through Saturday, noon to 7 p.m., at the Healing Center at Namaste Bookshop, 2 West 14th Street in Manhattan. Consultations are free. Call or text (646) 351-3919.

Queens NY Hypnosis Center

The Queens NY Hypnosis Center was founded by Eli Bliliuos and combines hypnosis with neuro-linguistic programming and life coaching. Its site lists a long range of goals, from smoking, weight and sleep to public speaking, phobias and study habits, and also offers regression and past life regression sessions, hypnosis training, and, for clients who cannot travel, online, webcam and phone sessions and recorded downloads. We did not find a street address on the site’s home page, so ask where in-person sessions are held. Call (877) 800-6443.

What to weigh before you book

New York does not list hypnosis among the professions licensed by the State Education Department’s Office of the Professions (professions index). A certificate from a hypnosis school tells you about training, not about a state license. If you are looking for treatment of an anxiety disorder, depression or trauma, choose a licensed clinician, whose license you can look up on the state’s verification search. If you are in crisis, call or text the 988 Lifeline at 988; in an emergency, call 911.

Be careful with success-rate figures. Some hypnosis websites quote recovery or quit rates; the federal National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health describes the research on hypnosis for quitting smoking as having “conflicting results” (NCCIH), so ask any practice where a number comes from before it shapes your decision.

Queens questions

Is there a hypnotist with an office in Queens?

Yes: Psychobabble Therapy and Wellness offers hypnotherapy at its Ridgewood office. Online directories list more hypnotists across the borough, but a directory entry can be out of date. Before booking a practice you find that way, open its own website or call to confirm the address, who will see you and the price. The practices on this page all give their own phone numbers and session formats on their sites.

Can I do hypnosis from home in Queens?

Yes. The Door to Within comes to clients’ homes in Astoria and Long Island City under the conditions above, and all three practices offer online sessions: Zoom at Self Empowered Minds, Google Meet or Zoom at The Door to Within, and webcam or phone at the Queens NY Hypnosis Center. Whether a remote session suits your goal is something to raise in the consultation.

What about age regression or Reiki in Queens?

Age regression comes with its own questions about how far recalled memories can be trusted; see age regression hypnosis in Queens. For energy work, see Reiki practitioners in Queens. If you can travel into Manhattan, the Manhattan hypnotist page adds two more offices.

Every address, price and session format above comes from the practice’s own website as of October 2026 and may change; check with the practice before you go. A listing on this page is not a referral, and hypnosis is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
